What better way to spend a warm summer afternoon then out at the rodeo. And that’s coming from someone who recently attended their first rodeo, ever!

This past month I had the opportunity to attend my first rodeo ever in Montgomery, NJ and it was definitely a fun trip that I would plan to go back to year after year. The venue itself is not overly large, but there are quite a few good BBQ vendors for your choice of some good pulled pork sandwiches and a beer! Then who can forget about the fun cowboy hats because who doesn’t like an Irish cowboy?

The event itself was spectacular. Luckily for us we were there quite early as this year’s event had an unfortunate misprint on the ad whereby the rodeo was supposed to have an earlier start. For those looking to photograph the event I found it better to have a higher seat in the stands to be able to see over the crowds at the rodeo. From barrel racing to bronc riding to bareback horse riding, it’s definitely a site to see and definitely gives spectators a level of respect for those cowboys and cowgirls involved.  I tip my hat to all involved!
